RHS National Gardening Week 2025

From 28th April to 4th May 2025, outdoor enthusiasts across the UK (including us!) are celebrating RHS National Gardening Week.

National Gardening Week was launched in 2012 by the Royal Horticultural Society, the leading gardening charity in the UK responsible for world famous events such as the Chelsea Flower Show. National Gardening Week (NGW) was created for people to share their love of gardening, nature, and outdoor living through in-person events and social media conversations. It also serves the important purpose of highlighting the positive impact of gardening and garden spaces.

Obviously, we are particularly passionate about the importance of creating an outdoor oasis. It is important for everyone to have access to a relaxing outdoor space, whether that is in a lush countryside garden, compact city balcony, or suburban patio. We believe that outdoor living is just as important as indoor living, which is why we dedicate ourselves to creating stunning and diverse outdoor furniture.

This year, National Gardening Week is focused on new and beginner gardeners. It can be tough to know where to begin when creating your own garden getaway, so we’re here to help! For those of you who are new to garden decoration, we’ve hand-picked some of our favourite pieces with botanical beauties to match.

Read on for our top outdoor decorating tips.

Green Greatness

Adding some green to the garden can make your space more verdant and luxurious. We recommend our classic bistro set in Forest Green, scalloped outdoor cushion in Olive, and outdoor luma light in Olive. Their flattering colours play well with others and are complementary to any garden, regardless of planting theme. Plus, their minimalist patterns leave plenty of room for accessorising, whether that's with more outdoor cushions or more plants.

You’re spoiled for choice for green plants to match, but we’ve really been loving Monstera deliciosa (otherwise known as the cheese plant). This is more of an indoor house plant, but it grows well in conservatory spaces. Fortunately, our products are versatile and look as great indoors as they do outdoors. The Monstera deliciosa is evergreen, so will complement your garden (or conservatory) furniture all year round.

Pulchritudinous Purples

Purple is a royal colour that really makes an impact. Plus, it pairs nicely with green. We recommend our lavender striped outdoor cushion and spring meadow outdoor cushion, both botanically inspired. Use multiple to make a bold colour statement or integrate with other designs to subtly create interest through pattern.

Fortunately, flowers come in all different shades of purple – some of our favourites are lavender and lilac. Bonus: they smell great! Like their counterpart outdoor cushions, both make a great feature plant in a garden border. Their striking colour makes them stand out in a crowd and can make any outdoor space pop. Lilac flowers in early summer but lavender is evergreen, so it can accompany your new accessories all year. If you don’t have a lot of planting space, lavender also looks great in a pot.

Pretty Pinks

In the garden, pink packs a punch. It’s a great way to inject some whimsy into your outdoor space while still maintaining an air of chic elegance. We recommend our classic bistro set in Sunset Red, candy block striped outdoor cushion, and luma light in Bright Pink.

For pinks, reds, and even a bit of purples, why not try planting the fantastic fuchsia? It complements our colours well and perfectly encapsulates the joyful spirit of pink. Even the flower’s shape screams fun as it is often compared to colourful, dancing skirts. They come in so many different shades of pink that there is bound to be one that perfectly suits your vibe. Fuchsias grow well in a sunny and sheltered spot, which sounds to us like the perfect place to create your own colourful outdoor seating area.

The great thing about garden design is that it’s impossible to go completely wrong. Once you pick your favourite bistro set or accessories, any additional plants can only elevate the space. Just follow your style to create an outdoor oasis that is perfect for you.
